Comprehensive Scope of Work
The appointed service provider will deliver catering for meetings, events, and functions at the following ATSU South locations:
- FALE: King Shaka International Airport
- FAVG: Virginia Airport
- FAPM: Pietermaritzburg Airport
- FARB: Richards Bay Airport
Key responsibilities include:
- Diverse Menu Options: A comprehensive range of lunch options, platters, and desserts
- Special Dietary Needs: Accommodation of Halaal, Kosher, Vegetarian, and Vegan requirements
- Full Service: Supply all equipment (crockery, cutlery, serving dishes), setup, service, and pack-away
- On-Site Staff: Trained personnel with a dedicated representative for each event
- Flexibility: Ability to respond to short-notice requests
ATNS reserves the right to appoint more than one service provider.
Mandatory Requirements
Bidders must comply with strict eligibility criteria for automatic disqualification
- Health Certificate: Valid Certificate of Acceptability from the local municipality
- Experience: Minimum of two contactable reference letters for completed catering services within the past 7 years
- COIDA Compliance: Valid Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Commissioner or Registered Mutual Association
- Locality Footprint: Proof of operational presence for each airport bid on (e.g., municipal bill, lease agreement, or MOU with a local partner)
Evaluation and Preference Points
Bids will be assessed using the 80/20 preference point system:
- Price: 80 points
- Specific Goals: 20 points, comprising 10 points for 51% Black-owned suppliers and 10 points for 30% Black woman-owned suppliers
