Statistics SA Invites Quotations for Staff Uniforms in North West

Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) has published a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the supply and delivery of staff uniforms for its North West Provincial Office. This presents a straightforward opportunity for suppliers of corporate and workwear in the Mmabatho area.

Tender Overview

Stats SA invites suitably qualified suppliers to submit quotations under tender number RQ-001042. The RFQ was published on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, with a closing date of Friday, 04 September 2026 at 16:00. Goods are required to be delivered to Shop 55, Mega City complex, Cnr. Sekame Str & Moroka Drive, Mmabatho.

Scope of Work

The successful supplier will be responsible for supplying the following uniform items in accordance with the attached specification:

  • 6 pairs of lightweight, 100% waterproof PVC boots (black), with slip-resistant soles
  • 4 sets of 2-piece overalls (men’s) in Navy Blue, 80% Polyester, 20% Cotton (Polycotton), medium-weight fabric
  • 8 sets of scrubs suits (women’s) in Navy Blue, short-sleeved V-neck tops with two pockets and straight-leg pants with elastic waistband and cargo pockets
  • 4 jerseys (women’s) in Navy Blue, 100% polyester, long sleeves and button-up front
  • 2 jerseys (men’s) in Navy Blue, 100% polyester, V-neck design and long sleeves

Bidders must quote according to the attached specification and sizes provided. Failure to comply with the specification will result in disqualification.

Mandatory Documentation Required

Bidders must submit the following documents together with their quotes:

  • Quotation with reference number, indicating validity, delivery period, CSD Master registration number (MAAA), and tax compliance status PIN
  • Completed SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) form
  • E-filing copy of valid Tax Clearance certificate
  • Certified copy of ID document of company owners
  • Original or certified copy of company registration (CIPC) documents

Evaluation Criteria

Quotations will be evaluated on an 80/20 scoring system:

  • 80 points allocated for price
  • 20 points allocated for Specific Goals and Preferential Points

Preference Points Allocation:

  • Race (Black): Up to 10 points
  • Women: Up to 5 points
  • Disabled: Up to 2 points
  • Youth (Below 35 years): Up to 3 points

Bidders who wish to claim points must provide proof for each point claimed. For race, women, and youth, provide certified copies of ID documents and company registration documents/CSD reports to substantiate percentage ownership equity. For disability, attach a medical certificate from a medical practitioner registered with HPCSA confirming the disability.

Submission Details

All quotations must be emailed to quotationsNW@statssa.gov.za. Please do not copy anyone when sending your quote as this will disqualify your proposal. All quotations received after the closing date and time will not be accepted. Suppliers responding should be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
