The Marine Living Resources Fund (MLRF) has published a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the appointment of a service provider to supply and deliver catering services at multiple locations along the West Coast. The tender, designated RFQ0001274, seeks a qualified provider to deliver pre-packed meals for participants across five different towns.
Tender Overview
The objective is to appoint a service provider to deliver pre-packed catering services at specified venues and dates in the West Coast region. Bids must be submitted via email to MLRFQUOTATIONS@dffe.gov.za by 01 September 2026 at 11:00 AM. No briefing session is scheduled for this RFQ.
Scope of Work
The appointed service provider will deliver pre-packed lunches (quarter chicken, fried or grilled, with soft dinner rolls, chips, and a soft drink/juice). Deliveries must be completed on specific dates in September 2026:
- Doring Bay (20 participants) – 01 Sept 2026
- Saldanha Bay (28 participants) – 02 Sept 2026
- St Helena Bay (16 participants) – 03 Sept 2026
- Darling (20 participants) – 04 Sept 2026
- Port Nolloth (10 participants) – 14 Sept 2026
Key Requirements
Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide a full and updated CSD report with their quotation. A valid SBD 4 form must be completed and signed. SBD 6.1 and proof of specific goals must be submitted to claim preference points. A valid tax compliance status must be maintained.
Evaluation Process
The 80/20 preference point system applies, with 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals (51% black ownership: 8 points, 50% women ownership: 4 points, youth ownership: 4 points, disability: 4 points). Quotations must be firm, valid for 60 days, and include VAT. The award will be made to the highest scoring bidder.
