The Department of Tourism has issued Request for Quotation NB023/2026 for the procurement of HIV/AIDS Awareness kits. This targeted procurement seeks capable suppliers to support the department’s ongoing health, wellness, and educational initiatives within the national tourism sector.

Scope of Works and Materials

The required items are clearly specified:

  • 25mm AIDS Lapel Metal Ribbons – Small promotional pins for awareness campaigns.
  • 20-Meter HIV Banner – A large format banner for event and campaign use.

Mandatory Documents and Compliance Requirements

Bidders must submit the following completed and signed documents:

  • Part A and B of the RFQ invitation form
  • SBD 4: Bidder’s Disclosure
  • Proof of ownership (for claiming specific goals)
  • CSD full report (preferably drawn prior to the closing date)
  • Valid B-BBEE sworn affidavit or certificate (for EMEs and QSEs)

Mandatory Compliance and Evaluation

Proposals will be evaluated using the 80/20 Preferential Procurement Policy Framework. Eighty points are allocated for price competitiveness, while twenty points are awarded for specific goals, favoring compliant B-BBEE status levels. Bidders must submit fully completed Standard Bidding Documents (SBDs), including the revised SBD 4 and a valid Sworn Affidavit for Exempted Micro Enterprises (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprises (QSE).

Strict Physical Submission Protocols

In strict alignment with the Department’s procurement policies, all completed RFQ documents must be hand-delivered to Tourism House, 17 Trevenna Street, Sunnyside, Pretoria, 0001. Bidders are required to sign the official register for quotations upon delivery. Late submissions or failure to complete the register will automatically invalidate the RFQ.
