Scope of Work
The appointed practitioners will provide a range of occupational health and wellness services at either their registered facility or via a fully equipped mobile clinic. Services include:
- Occupational medical surveillance (physical exams, BMI, vision, hearing, spirometry, biological monitoring)
- Pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations
- Fitness-for-duty, ill-health retirement, and medical boarding assessments
- Pension fund medical assessments
- Psychological assessments and trauma counselling (by HPCSA-registered Psychologist)
- Specialized services like chest X-rays, specialist referrals, and pathology

Evaluation and Compliance
The tender will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system. Bidders must first pass a strict administrative compliance check, followed by a functionality evaluation.
- Functionality: Minimum score of 70% required to progress
- Functionality Criteria:
- Experience: Recent reference letters (Jan 2021–Current) for similar services (minimum R150,000 per reference). Six or more completed projects earn maximum points.
- Lead Practitioner: CV highlighting years of experience, qualifications (MBChB), additional qualification in Occupational Health, and valid HPCSA registration. Over 10 years’ experience earns maximum points.
