Scope of Work

The appointed service providers will render security services across all Department of Transport Cost Centres and Districts. Services include access control, patrolling, incident reporting, and safeguarding departmental assets. Security personnel required include Grade C security officers, Grade B supervisors with firearm competency, and a full-time Grade A Area Manager with a driver’s licence.

  • Company Liability Insurance: Certified copy
  • SARS Tax Compliance PIN: Valid pin issued by SARS
  • Director ID Copies: Certified copies of all directors’ Identity Documents

Functionality Assessment

Bidders must score a minimum of 50% to pass the functionality evaluation. Criteria include:

  • Company Experience (40 points): 10+ years in security services within the public sector
  • Company Fleet (15 points): 5+ registered vehicles under the company name
  • Operational Offices (10 points): Offices located within districts where services will be rendered
