UIF Seeks Service Provider for Branding Material Supply

The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) has published a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the appointment of a service provider to supply branding materials. This presents an excellent opportunity for companies specialising in promotional products and corporate branding.

Key Details and Submission Deadline

The RFQ, identified as RFQ4661, is open for submissions until 04 August 2026 at 11:00. Bids must be deposited at the ABSA Towers Ground Floor, 230 Lillian Ngoyi Street, Pretoria. The bid validity period is 90 calendar days.

Compulsory Briefing Session

A compulsory briefing session will take place on 23 July 2026 at 10:00. The venue is the Unemployment Insurance Fund, ABSA Towers, 4th Floor, 230 Lillian Ngoyi Street, Pretoria. Attendance is compulsory – non-attendance will lead to immediate disqualification.

Scope of Work

The successful service provider will supply a comprehensive range of branding materials, including:

  • Banner Plus 1 (70 units): Double-sided, PVC material, collapsible with poles and carry bags
  • Telescopic Flag Banners (70 units): Dye sublimation, 100% polyester, includes poles, bag, and ground spike
  • Curved Wall Banners (18 units): With expandable spring support stands and Velcro straps
  • Pop-up/Horse Shoe Banners (70 units): Full colour with ground hooks
  • Table Cloths (40 units): Printable, full colour
  • Podium Banners (10 units): Full podium size
  • Standard Rolling Lantern Banners (26 units): Dye sublimation, polyester
  • Pop-Up Gazebos (20 units): 3x6m, steel frame, water-resistant polyester, wheeled bags

Final artwork will be provided by the UIF.

Mandatory Requirements

Bidders must ensure compliance with the following:

  • SARS Tax Compliance PIN: Valid tax clearance status
  • CSD Registration: Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database
  • B-BBEE Certificate: Valid sworn affidavit or SANAS accredited certificate
  • SBD Forms: Completed and signed SBD 1, SBD 4, and SBD 6.1
  • No State Employees: Bidders must confirm no directors or members are in the service of the state

Preference Points Allocation

The 80/20 preference system applies. Specific goals for this tender include:

  • Black Women Equity Ownership: Up to 8 points
  • Black Youth Equity Ownership: Up to 6 points
  • Black Disability Equity Ownership: Up to 1 point
  • Companies complying with B-BBEE elements (1-8): Up to 5 points

Points are calculated based on CIPC and CSD Detailed Summary Reports. Disability claims require supporting proof from a medical doctor or certified institution – failure to submit authentic evidence leads to disqualification.

Submission Process

All bids must be deposited in the tender box at the UIF offices in Pretoria before the closing date and time. The UIF reserves the right to accept or reject any bid.
