The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has issued an open tender (SASSA:04-26-SCM-KZN) for the supply and delivery of stationery to its KwaZulu-Natal Regional Office. This strategic 36-month contract targets capable suppliers to support the administrative backbone of the region’s social grant distribution network.
Scope of Supply and Distribution
The appointed service provider(s) will be responsible for supplying and delivering stationery items to the SASSA KZN Region’s centralized warehouse located at No. 10 Bank Street in Pietermaritzburg. The Regional Office is responsible for procuring, storing, and distributing all stationery items to SASSA KZN offices.
Key deliverables include:
- Supply Categories: Stationery items as listed in Annexures A to E, covering miscellaneous stationery, consumables, toners and cartridges, grants-related forms, and paper .
- Delivery Timelines: Orders must be delivered within 15 working days of placement.
- Quality Standards: Toners and cartridges must be original models, not generic, and goods must meet SABS/SANS requirements where applicable.
- Packaging and Insurance: Goods must be packaged to prevent damage during transit and insured by the service provider until delivery at the warehouse.
- Labour: Service providers must provide their own labour for off-loading goods at the warehouse.
Mandatory Compliance and Administration
Bidders must demonstrate robust logistical capacity and strict adherence to public procurement regulations. Submissions must include valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration, tax clearance, and a comprehensive pricing schedule covering all requested items for the three-year duration.
