Scope of Work
The appointed contractor will be responsible for supplying, delivering, and installing various building components at the Herbarium and Genebank.
Key items include:
- Windows: Clear glass and sandblasted windows in various sizes (57cm x 94.5cm, 71cm x 58cm, 24cm x 71cm, etc.) including handles and stays.
- External Signage: One ARC-Roodeplaat Herbarium Building Signage Board (3m x 1m).
- Flooring: Ceramic Multi-flor Multi-Quartz Vinyl Tiles (1.8m x 4.1m area).
- Dry Wall: One drywall partition (Width: 3.85m, Height: 3.02m).
Special conditions: Bidders must verify all dimensions on site, supply new materials compliant with SANS and National Building Regulations, protect existing finishes, and remove all demolition waste .
Evaluation Criteria
The RFQ will be evaluated using the 80/20 Preference Point System, as the estimated value is below R50 million.

- Specific Goals (20 Points): Points allocated based on ownership by HDIs, Women, Youth, People with Disabilities (PwD), B-BBEE Status Level (1-4), and promotion of SMMEs.
To claim preference points, bidders must submit:
- Completed and signed SBD 6.1 form.
- Valid SANAS/CIPC Accredited B-BBEE certificate or Sworn Affidavit.
- Ownership Certificate issued by CIPC.
