Air Traffic and Navigation Services Company Limited (ATNS) has re-advertised a Request for Quotation (ATNS/FALE/RFQ22/2025/26_CATERING) for the supply and delivery of ad hoc catering services. This strategic 36-month, rate-based contract targets experienced hospitality providers to support the Air Traffic Services Units (ATSUs) across four critical aviation nodes in KwaZulu-Natal.
Scope of Services and Airport Coverage
The appointed service provider will supply meals and refreshments on an as-and-when-required basis. The mandate covers four key ATSUs:
- FALE: King Shaka International Airport
- FAVG: Virginia Airport
- FAPM: Pietermaritzburg Airport
- FARB: Richards Bay Airport
Contract Model and Operational Agility
Operating on a 36-month rate-based contract, the successful bidder must demonstrate the logistical capability to deliver high-quality, timely catering across multiple geographically dispersed airports. This ensures that ATNS personnel, who manage the nation’s airspace, receive consistent nutritional support during critical shifts.
Mandatory Requirements
Bidders must submit:
- Valid Health Certificate (Certificate of Acceptability) from the local municipality
- Public Liability Insurance documentation
- Minimum of three contactable reference letters for completed catering services (completed within the past 7 years)
- Certified SAQA-accredited Occupational Certificate: Chef (NQF level 5)
- Proof of COIDA compliance (Letter of Good Standing) or Registered Mutual Association Policy Insurance
- Locality footprint proof (Municipality Bill, Lease Agreement, or MOU with locally based partner)
