Abaqulusi Local Municipality has released tender 8/2/1/616 for the renovation of a community building Phase 1 in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal . This construction project aims to refurbish a key municipal asset serving the local community of approximately 211,000 residents . Bids will be evaluated on the 80/20 preference point system, with 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals.
Scope of Work
The renovation project encompasses essential building works to restore the community facility. The detailed specification includes:
- Alterations: Removal of rusted sheeting, 110mm downpipes, fascia boards, gutters, and broken glass
- Roofing: Supply and install corrugated roof sheeting (78m²), new downpipes, fascia boards, and gutters
- Waterproofing: Roof waterproofing (78m²)
- Painting: Prepare and paint walls (285m²), roof (364.45m²), gutters, fascia boards, and downpipes (187m)
- Glazing: Supply and install 3mm glazing
- Additional: Scaffolding and cleaning allowances
Mandatory Requirements
Bidders must submit:
- Detailed CSD registration report
- Valid company registration document
- SARS PIN or Tax Clearance Certificate
- Certified B-BBEE certificate from a registered accountant or original Sworn Affidavit from a Commissioner of Oaths
- Certified municipal account (water/electricity/rates) not older than three months, or valid lease agreement
- Certified copies of identity documents of directors and owners
Key Conditions
- CSD Registration: No awards will be made to persons not registered on the Central Supplier Database
- State Service Prohibition: No awards to persons in the service of the state, or entities with directors/managers/shareholders in state service
- Document Completion: All Municipal Bidding Documents (MBDs) must be fully completed
- Validity Period: Tenders valid for 90 days after closing date
- Original Documentation: Bids must be submitted only on the original documentation provided by Abaqulusi Municipality
