The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI) has issued a Request for Quotation (SECU26/012) for the provision of security services at Gariep House in Bloemfontein. This short-term, month-to-month contract spans a maximum period of six months, ensuring the safety and protection of government assets and personnel in the Free State.
Scope of Services and Contract Duration
The appointed service provider will render comprehensive security services at Gariep House, located at 05 Valk Street. The contract operates on a month-to-month basis, not exceeding six months, offering an immediate opportunity for capable security firms to support government operations.
Mandatory PSIRA Documentation
Bidders must submit certified copies of valid PSIRA certificates for the company and the individual officers. The requirements include:
- Valid PSIRA certificate for the company
- Valid PSIRA certificate for the director/s (Grade B or A)
- Certified valid letter of good standing from PSIRA
- x2 CVs and x2 certified valid PSIRA Grade C certificates for security officers
Evaluation and Specific Goals
Bids will be evaluated using the 80/20 preferential procurement system. The 20 specific goal points heavily reward transformation and inclusive economic participation, allocating points for:
- 100% black-owned EME or QSE enterprises.
- Enterprises at least 51% owned by black women.
- Enterprises at least 51% owned by black people with disabilities.
