The National Museum Bloemfontein (NASMUS) has issued a Request for Quotation (Box0026) for the supply and delivery of boxes over a period of 60 months. This strategic five-year procurement initiative targets reputable packaging suppliers to support the museum’s archival, storage, and logistical operations in the Free State.
Scope of Supply and Delivery
The appointed service provider will supply and deliver specialized boxes to the National Museum premises. These materials are critical for the safe handling, cataloging, and long-term preservation of the institution’s valuable historical artifacts, scientific specimens, and archival records.
Contract Duration and Stability
Spanning 60 months, this long-term agreement offers a stable, recurring revenue stream for capable packaging and logistics enterprises, ensuring continuous support for the museum’s operational and storage needs.
Compulsory Requirements
Bidders must attach the following documents to their quotation. Non-compliance will lead to disqualification, except for tax compliance which has a 7-day grace period for the preferred bidder:
- Completed and signed SBD form 4
- CSD supplier registration document
- Proof of business operations address (municipal rates account or lease agreement)
- Copy of CIPC registration documents
- Three reference letters (not older than 60 months) on client letterhead, signed, with contactable details

Bidders must submit their proposals in a sealed envelope. Emailed, faxed, or late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
