Johannesburg Water Concrete Palisade Fence Replacement Tender

Johannesburg Water has issued Request for Quotation RFQJW114NS261 for the urgent replacement of a damaged concrete palisade fence at the Northern Wastewater Treatment Plant in Diepsloot. This critical infrastructure security upgrade aims to protect essential municipal water treatment facilities from unauthorized access, vandalism, and potential contamination.

Scope of Works and Safety Protocols

The appointed contractor will execute the complete removal and replacement of the compromised concrete palisade fencing. Bidders must adhere to strict Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, including specific risk management protocols for manual handling, heavy object transport, and site-specific hazards.

Required Documents for Submission

Bidders must submit the following completed and signed documents:

  • MBD 3.1 – Pricing Schedule (Firm Prices)
  • MBD 4 – Declaration of Interest
  • MBD 6.1 – Preference Points Claim Form
  • MBD 8 – Declaration of Bidder’s Past Supply Chain Management Practices
  • MBD 9 – Certificate of Independent Bid Determination
  • Proof of CSD registration (MAAA Supplier Number)
  • Company registration documents with ID copies of directors/shareholders
  • Reference letter with contactable reference on client letterhead

Evaluation and Compliance Requirements

Quotations will be evaluated using the 80/20 preferential procurement system. Bidders must submit a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, alongside duly completed Municipal Bidding Documents (MBDs). The total quotation value must be inclusive of all applicable taxes, and failure to include these will lead to immediate disqualification.

Compulsory Site Briefing Session

Attendance at the mandatory pre-quotation briefing is strictly required. Bidders must meet at the facility to understand the site-specific logistics and safety parameters.
