This strategic 36-month, as-and-when-required contract ensures that essential frontline workers are equipped with compliant, high-quality safety apparel.
Scope of Supply and Local Content
The successful bidder will supply PPE workwear on an ongoing basis. Crucially, this tender mandates 100% local content for all PPE workwear items. Bidders must submit comprehensive local content declarations and supporting schedules to prove compliance with designated sector requirements.
Mandatory Compliance and Socio-Economic Targets
Prospective suppliers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and complete the SBD4 form. Furthermore, the evaluation heavily weights socio-economic contributions. Tenderers must submit detailed proposals for job creation and skills development, including a commitment to fund university bursaries for every R3 million invoiced.
