Service Scope and Expectations
Providers must demonstrate capacity to manage flexible transport routes serving staff residing across diverse Cape Town locations. Vehicles must meet South African roadworthiness standards, and drivers must hold valid professional operating permits. Punctuality, safety records, and customer service excellence are critical evaluation factors.
Vehicle Categories
The operator must hold a Charter Service or Staff Service Operating License. Drivers must have valid Professional Driving Permits (PrDP), and vehicles must have passenger liability insurance and up‑to‑date roadworthy certificates.
Three vehicle categories are required:
- Category A: Sedan – up to 4 passengers
- Category B: 7‑seater – up to 7 passengers
- Category C: 15‑seater van – up to 15 passengers
Service areas include (but are not limited to): Mitchells Plain, Lavender Hill, Retreat, Grassy Park, Bonteheuwel, Gugulethu, Delft, Bellville, Parow, Dunoon, Khayelitsha, Nyanga, Langa, Somerset West, Atlantis, Darling, Eerste River, Elsies River, Clarke Estate, Wallacedene, Bishop Lavis, N2 Gateway, and Paarl.
Administrative Documents & Submission
Bidders must submit:
- Central Supplier Database (CSD) report (www.csd.gov.za)
- Detailed pricing structure on company letterhead (full cost breakdown, inclusive of VAT, disbursements, escalations)
- Valid B‑BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Signed RFQ document
- Completed SBD 4 (Bidder’s Disclosure) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim Form)
- A formal detailed quotation (the pricing schedule in the RFQ plus a separate detailed quotation)
No briefing session will be held.
