Transnet SOC Ltd invites qualified contractors to submit quotations for the replacement of translucent sheets and broken windows across multiple engineering facilities in Bloemfontein, Free State. This one-month contract covers critical infrastructure maintenance supporting Foundry, Locomotive, Wagon Manufacturing, and Wheel operations.
Scope of Works
- Container Park, Electrical Training Center, and Patten Shop for FoE Business
- Foundry Business areas: Bay 1A-3, Pattern Shop Lift Area, and Sand Plant
- Locomotive Business: Bays 40-45, 39, 25, Loco-Store, RM Store, and Main Building
- Wagon Manufacturing: Bays 32-38, 26, and 48-50
- Wheels Facility: Bays 46-47
- Wagon Build Business: Bays 9-13, RFR Store, Wagon Store, Bay 13A Offices and Kitchen
Compulsory Briefing & Site Access
A mandatory briefing and site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, 26 May 2026 at 10:00 in Bloemfontein. Bidders must wear steel-toe safety shoes and reflector vests to gain access. Non-compliance with PPE requirements will result in disqualification from the briefing process.
Submission Requirements
Quotations must be submitted by Monday, 15 June 2026 at 12:00. All documentation should align with Transnet’s procurement policies and NEC contract conditions. Bidders are encouraged to review technical specifications thoroughly before submission.
