The National Lotteries Commission (NLC) invites qualified catering service providers to submit price quotations for an Education and Awareness Workshop in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal. This short-term opportunity requires delivery of pre-packaged meals and beverages for 250 delegates on 09 June 2026.

Service Specifications

  • Pre-packaged lunch including: 2 starch options, 2 meat proteins (chicken/lamb/beef), 2 salads, and 2 vegetables
  • Bottled still water (500 units) compliant with SANBWA standards
  • Variety of soft drinks or 100% fruit juice (250 units)
  • Service providers must supply own cutlery, crockery, table linens, and manage waste removal post-event

Submission Requirements

  • Completed SBD forms (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1)
  • Valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) report with tax compliance status
  • B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit for EME/QSE entities
  • Company registration documents and certified ID copies of directors
  • Quotation on company letterhead with 60-day validity period

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be assessed using the 80/20 preference point system under the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022:

  • Price: 80 points
  • Specific goals: 20 points (black ownership, women ownership, youth ownership, disability inclusion)
  • Administrative compliance and mandatory documentation verification
