The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) has issued Request for Proposal NRA 2026/0617, seeking qualified service providers for comprehensive upkeep of security infrastructure across its national facilities. This three-year contract covers maintenance of ClearVu gates, electric fencing systems, roller shutter doors, and gate motors at the Central Operations Centre, 44 toll gantries, Dalpark, and 12 satellite centres.
Scope of Work
The appointed service provider will handle:
- Routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- 24/7 emergency call-outs
- Testing of electric fencing energisers and safety compliance
- Servicing, lubrication, and calibration of gate motors
- Repair/replacement of damaged components
- Monthly reporting and record-keeping
Mandatory Responsiveness Requirements
To pass Step One evaluation, bidders must submit:
- Completed SBD1 Form
- Signed price offer and schedule
- Proof of compulsory briefing attendance
- Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing
- Public liability cover (minimum R10 million)
Submission Guidelines
All bids must be received by 11:00 on Monday, 11 May 2026, and deposited in the tender box at SANRAL’s Centurion offices at 36 Assegaaiwood Road, Rooihuiskraal. Submissions require one original, one hard copy, and an electronic copy on compact disk or memory stick. Late, faxed, or emailed bids will not be accepted. Bidders must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database.
Briefing Session Details
A compulsory virtual briefing session will be held on Thursday, 30 April 2026, at 10:00. Attendance is mandatory for all prospective bidders. Representatives may only attend on behalf of one tendering entity. Join via Microsoft Teams using the meeting link and credentials provided in the tender documentation.
