Umzinyathi District Municipality has released a Request for Quotation (REQ00252) for venue hire and catering services for a One Stop Shop Launch taking place in Dundee on 5 May 2026. The event will host 170 people. Submissions close on 28 April 2026 at 12:00.

Venue Requirements

The successful bidder must provide a venue with:

  • Parking space for 330 cars
  • Seating capacity for 170 people (tables and chairs with standard black décor)
  • PA system and wall screens
  • Briefing small conference room
  • Dining hall

Catering Specifications

Breakfast (100 people):

  • Sandwiches, scones, muffins, tea, coffee

Conference Lunch (170 people):

  • Savoury rice, beef curry, roasted chicken, seasonal vegetables, roasted butternut
  • Greek salad, potato salad, dessert
  • Soft drinks (juice and fizzy drinks)

Mandatory Submission Documents

Bidders must submit:

  • Proof of CSD registration
  • Completed and signed MBD forms (MBD1, MBD3.1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9)
  • CIPC registration documents
  • Original certified copies of owners’ ID (not older than six months)
  • Valid COIDA certificate in bidder’s name
  • Municipal account (not owing more than 90 days) or lease agreement
  • Affidavit from SAPS if business operates from residential address

Bid Validity and Submission

Bids must remain valid for 30 days from the closing date. All prices must be in South African currency and include VAT. Bidders must initial every page of the document.

Submissions must be deposited in the tender box at the reception area of Umzinyathi District Municipality Offices, 39 Victoria Street, Princess Magogo Building, Dundee, 3000.
