The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) invites qualified service providers to submit bids for comprehensive facility management services across its Eastern Cape Region. This Request for Bid (SASSA:01-26-FM-EC) covers office cleaning, sanitation, pool car wash, fumigation, pest control, and gardening services for a 36-month contract period.
Tender Overview and Service Scope
The contract encompasses two operational clusters: Cluster 1 (Regional Office, Amathole District and Local Offices) and Cluster 4 (Nelson Mandela Metro Local Offices, Sarah Baartman District and Local Offices). Successful bidders will deliver integrated support services that ensure safe, hygienic, and well-maintained environments for SASSA staff and grant beneficiaries.
Key Service Requirements
- Daily office cleaning, dusting, and waste removal across multiple sites
- Sanitation services including sanitary bin servicing and deep cleaning
- Waterless pool car wash services at designated SASSA offices
- Quarterly fumigation and pest control treatments with SABS-approved chemicals
- Gardening maintenance including lawn mowing, pruning, and weed control

Submission Guidelines and Deadlines
Proposals must be deposited in the bid box at the SASSA Regional Office by 11:00 on Wednesday, 13 May 2026. Late, emailed, or faxed submissions will not be accepted. All pricing must be firm, VAT-inclusive, and valid for 90 days from closing date.
Mandatory Documentation Checklist
- Completed SBD forms (SBD 1, SBD 3.1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1)
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD registration
- Current BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit for EME/QSE entities
- Proof of Public Liability Insurance (minimum R1 million cover)
- Company profile with relevant experience and client references
