Event and Service Overview
The successful service provider will supply, install, operate, and dismantle a professional-grade sound system for the full duration of the event—including 24-hour coverage from 3–5 April and extended hours on 6 April (08:00–22:00). The provider must also supply their own labour, transport, and accommodation.
Technical Specifications and Deliverables
Required equipment includes:
- 32-channel digital mixer with Dante networking
- Stage box, front-of-house and monitor systems
- Line array speakers, subwoofers, powered speakers
- Wireless microphone systems (Shure ULXD series or equivalent)
- 60 KVA silent generator with distribution cabling
All gear must be in excellent working condition and suitable for outdoor use.
Submission and Compliance Requirements
Bidders must include:
- Firm, VAT-inclusive pricing
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN or clearance certificate
- Proof of CSD registration
- Municipal account status (not in arrears >90 days)
- Completed MBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and MBD 9
Evaluation Criteria and Preference Points
Quotes will be scored using the 80/20 system:
- 80 points for price competitiveness
- 20 points for specific goals:
- 10 points for 100% Black ownership (with BBBEE affidavit/certificate)
- 10 points for locality (highest for businesses within Inxuba Yethemba)
