The William Humphreys Art Gallery (WHAG), a Schedule 3C public entity supported by the National Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, has issued Request for Quotation WHAG RFQ 2-2026 for the supply and delivery of café-quality tableware. This procurement targets qualified suppliers capable of providing durable, functional hospitality equipment for the gallery’s visitor services in Kimberley, Northern Cape.
Tender Overview and Scope
The RFQ seeks a reliable partner to supply and deliver comprehensive café tableware including:
- Espresso cups (80ml) and saucers (11.9cm)
- Teacups, cappuccino cups, and double-well saucers
- Bistro mugs, teapots with lids, and side plates
- Rectangular serving trays and tumblers
- 18/0 stainless steel cutlery: forks, knives, coffee spoons
- Serving accessories: bread knife, utility tongs, cake server, cake dome, wooden cake stand
Quality and Compliance Requirements
All products must meet stringent operational standards:
- Dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe construction
- New items from original manufacturers only
- Complete with all accessories required for normal operation
- Detailed product specifications and images included in quotation
- Delivery within 21 days of purchase order issuance
Evaluation and Preference Points
Proposals will be assessed using the 80/20 preference point system:
- 80 points allocated for price competitiveness
- 20 points for specific goals including B-BBEE status level, Northern Cape business registration, and ownership by youth, women, or persons with disabilities
- Ownership points awarded on sliding scale: above 50% shareholding earns maximum points
Mandatory Submission Documents
Bidders must submit the following to avoid disqualification:
- Valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration number
- Completed WHAG SBD 4 Bidder’s Disclosure Form
- Quotation covering all listed items with VAT-inclusive pricing
- Proof of business address for local preference claims
- Supporting documentation for B-BBEE and ownership preference claims
