Johannesburg Water has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under reference number RFQJW044NS26 for the supply and delivery of safety signage to support operational compliance and hazard communication at its facilities in Midrand, Gauteng. The signage will be installed at the William Nicol Extension site (R511, approximately 8km north of Fourways) and must meet SANS-compliant standards for durability, visibility, and regulatory accuracy. Submissions must be completed exclusively via the eTenders portal by 16:00 on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

Scope of Work: Regulatory-Compliant Safety Signage

The successful service provider will supply:

  • Mandatory safety signs including “Danger,” “Warning,” “Prohibition,” “Mandatory Action,” and “Fire Equipment” categories
  • Signs made from UV-resistant, weatherproof materials suitable for outdoor industrial environments
  • All signage must comply with SANS 1186 and include bilingual text (English and IsiZulu or Sesotho where applicable)
  • Branding must align with Johannesburg Water’s visual identity and include asset codes as specified

Deliveries must be made to the William Nicol Extension site within agreed timelines following purchase order issuance.

Mandatory Submission Requirements

To be considered, quotations must include:

  • A completed pricing schedule with firm, VAT-exclusive rates per item
  • Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN or clearance certificate
  • Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
  • B-BBEE Certificate or sworn affidavit (Level 1–8 or EME/QSE)
  • Completed Standard Bidding Documents: SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim)
  • Brand names must be clearly indicated—quotations without brand specifications will be disqualified

All submissions must be made exclusively via the eTenders portal—no emails, faxes, or hard copies will be accepted.

Evaluation Criteria: 80/20 Preferential Procurement System

Quotations will be scored using the 80/20 system:

  • 80 points: Price (lowest compliant quote = 80; others scored proportionally)
  • 20 points: Specific Goals, including Black, women, youth, disability, and military veteran ownership

Only complete, responsive, and compliant submissions will be evaluated.
