    Scope of Supply: Integrated PPE and Uniform Kit

    The successful supplier will deliver a complete kit comprising:

    • High-visibility safety vests (Class 2, SANS-compliant)
    • Fire-resistant overalls for onboard and depot personnel
    • Safety boots meeting SABS ISO 20345 standards
    • Hard hats, gloves, ear protection, and eye shields
    • Branded work shirts, trousers, and cold-weather jackets featuring PRASA/Shosholoza Meyl insignia

    All items must be new, unused, and compliant with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and SANS/SABS specifications.

    Mandatory Documentation and Compliance Requirements

    To be considered, bidders must submit:

    • A completed pricing schedule with unit price, VAT (15%), and total per item
    • Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN or clearance certificate
    • Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
    • B-BBEE Certificate or sworn affidavit (required to claim preference points)
    • Completed Standard Bidding Documents: SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim)
    • Product certifications (e.g., SABS test reports, fire resistance certificates)

    All documents must be signed, stamped (if applicable), and submitted in a sealed envelope.

    Evaluation Criteria: 80/20 Preferential Procurement System

    Quotations will be scored using the 80/20 system:

    • 80 points: Price (lowest compliant quote = 80; others scored proportionally)
    • 20 points: Specific Goals, including Black, women, youth, disability, and military veteran ownership

    Only complete, responsive, and compliant submissions will be scored. Preference claims must be substantiated with documentation.
