Who’s Behind the Challenge?
The Irish Tech Challenge is a collaborative initiative spearheaded by:
- Embassy of Ireland in South Africa
- Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct (Wits University)
- Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI)
- Technology Innovation Agency (TIA)
- Dogpatch Labs (Ireland)
Together, they aim to fuse Irish technology expertise with South African entrepreneurial innovation.

- Post-revenue: Already earning income from products or services
- Impact-driven: Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

- Founded or co-founded by women and youth entrepreneurs (priority consideration)
