Pretoria, Gauteng – The Council for Geoscience (CGS) has issued an open tender (CGS-2026-037S) for the appointment of a service provider for the provision of ICT peripherals, devices, and components on an as-and-when-required basis for a period of three (3) years. This framework agreement aims to streamline ICT procurement and support the organisation’s digital transformation objectives.
Project Scope and Service Requirements
The successful bidder will supply and deliver a comprehensive range of ICT equipment, including:
- HP mice, keyboards, and laptop accessories (batteries, chargers, backpacks)
- RAM modules (16GB to 64GB for laptops and desktops)
- M.2 NVMe Solid State Drives (512GB to 10TB)
- Network switches (8, 24, and 48-port PoE)
- Cabling and connectivity accessories (CAT5E/CAT6E, RJ45 components)
- Headsets, webcams, and conferencing equipment (Logitech, Jabra)
- Projectors, KVM switches, and network cards
- Apple accessories (Pencil, AirPods, Watch, Magic Keyboard)
- Pocket WiFi routers and device protection accessories
All peripherals and components must carry a minimum 12-month warranty from delivery.
Mandatory Requirements
Bidders must submit three verifiable, signed reference letters confirming successful ICT peripheral supply within the last five years. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.

Submission Details
Bids must be submitted using a two-envelope bidding procedure: one sealed envelope for the technical proposal and another for the price proposal, enclosed together in an outer envelope. Submissions must be delivered to the Tender Box at the Council for Geoscience, 280 Pretoria Street, Silverton, Pretoria, before 11:00 on Friday, 23 October 2026. Bids must remain valid for 120 calendar days.

Evaluation Criteria
The 80/20 preference point system applies. The evaluation follows three gates:
- Gate 1 (Mandatory): Three verifiable reference letters
- Gate 2 (Administrative): SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, CSD registration, and JV agreement (if applicable)
- Gate 3 (Price and Specific Goals): 80 points for price and 20 points for specific goals
Specific goals allocation includes 5 points each for 51% black ownership, 30% black women ownership, black youth, and disability.
