The Ingonyama Trust Board has published a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the appointment of a qualified service provider to deliver Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Committee Member Training. The tender, designated ITB/03/08/2026, seeks to equip committee members with the knowledge and skills required to effectively perform their statutory functions in accordance with legislative mandates and best practices .

Tender Overview

The primary objective is to appoint a suitably qualified service provider to provide comprehensive training covering legislative frameworks, roles and responsibilities, hazard identification and risk assessment, incident investigation, and OHS committee functionality . Bids must be submitted via email to thabiso.khenisa@ingonyamatrust.org.za by 31 August 2026 at 10:00 AM. No briefing session is scheduled for this tender.

Scope of Work

The appointed service provider will deliver training for approximately five (5) participants over a period of 2 to 3 days . The training programme must cover:

  • Legislative Framework and Compliance
  • Roles and Responsibilities of OHS Committee Members
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
  • Incident Reporting and Investigation
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response
  • OHS Committee Functionality and Governance

Key Requirements

The bidder must possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in occupational health and safety training and demonstrate experience in conducting OHS Committee Member Training . Facilitators must hold a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, a recognised Facilitator qualification, and at least three years’ experience in OHS training.

Bidders must submit the following with their proposals:

  • Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
  • Valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS PIN)
  • Company registration documents
  • Valid BBBEE Certificate or Sworn Affidavit
  • Completed and signed SBD Forms (1, 3.3, 4, and 6.1)
  • At least three (3) contactable references for similar work completed within the last five years
  • Detailed training methodology
