Contractor Requirements

Mandatory References:

  • Submit at least three references from clients where carpets were installed
  • Each reference value must not be less than R20,000.00
  • References must be for similar work done between 1 January 2023 and 30 June 2025
  • Attach proof of order/Award letter or signed quotation by Client
  • Failure to submit references will result in non-consideration

Service Obligations:

  • Remove existing carpets without damage and store as designated
  • Clean floor areas after removal
  • Supply and install new carpets to municipal satisfaction
  • Minimum 5-year guarantee on workmanship and materials
  • Defects must be resolved within 20 days of written notification
  • No subcontracting permitted

Attendance at the pre-bid clarification meeting is strictly mandatory. Bidders must arrive on time, as latecomers will not be permitted entry and will be summarily disqualified.
