Successful applicants receive substantial, multifaceted support, including:

  • Up to R1 million in non-dilutive, equity-free funding.
  • Free Cloud TPU access to accelerate open-source machine learning research.
  • Early access to Google’s AI products via Trusted Tester and Early Access Program benefits.
  • Eligible Google Cloud product credits.

Program Structure and Support

Each cohort comprises 10 to 15 startups. Participants engage in a hybrid model of remote and in-person learning. Founders are paired with Google experts for 1-to-1 mentoring, group learning sessions, and targeted sprint projects. Specialist deep dives focus on product design, customer acquisition, and leadership development.

Mandatory Entry Criteria

To qualify, startups must meet the following requirements:

  • Be South African-led and demonstrate clear market traction.
  • Build a scalable product with a significant total addressable market and defensible growth model.
  • Leverage deep technologies, preferably machine learning and AI.
  • Ensure firm commitment from the CTO or technical leads to actively participate in all required program sessions.
