The South African Post Office Limited (SAPO) has issued Request for Quotation RFQ 26/27/55/NM for the provision of national linehaul transportation services. This strategic four-month contract targets experienced logistics and freight companies to support the movement of consignments and parcels across SAPO’s national network.
Scope of Works and National Routes
The successful service provider will be expected to:
- Provide national linehaul transportation services.
- Transport consignments safely and within agreed delivery schedules.
- Supply suitable vehicles for designated transport routes.
- Maintain reliable logistics operations throughout the four-month contract period.
- Meet SAPO’s operational and service delivery requirements.

Documents Required
Bidders should prepare and submit all mandatory documents, including:
- Completed RFQ submission documents.
- Pricing Schedule.
- Client Reference Letter (Annexure BR).
- Delivery Lead Time Confirmation Letter (Annexure DL).
- Confirmation Letter (Annexure BC).
- Company registration documents.
- Valid CSD registration.
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status (Tax PIN).
- Any additional documents specified in the RFQ.
Incomplete submissions may be deemed non-responsive.
Strict Submission Protocols
In alignment with SAPO’s procurement policies, late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. Completed bid proposals must be submitted exclusively via email to SAPORFQ@postoffice.co.za or hand-delivered to the SAPO Supply Chain Management office in Silverton, Pretoria.
