Sekhukhune District Municipality (SDM) has issued an open tender (SK8/3/1-01/2026/2027) for the supply and delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and associated safety items. This strategic three-year contract targets capable safety apparel manufacturers to ensure the occupational health and safety of municipal employees across the Limpopo district.
Scope of Supply and Employee Coverage
The appointed service provider will supply comprehensive PPE to various municipal departments, including Infrastructure and Water Services, Municipal Health Services, Disaster Management, and Corporate Services. The mandate requires taking accurate size measurements for all employees across all SDM workplaces and operational sites.
Custom Branding and Quality Assurance
- Supply and delivery of PPE to SDM employees across various departments, including Infrastructure and Water Services, Corporate Services, Budget and Treasury, Planning and Economic Development, and Emergency Management Services
- Annual price adjustments based on agreed rates for year two and year three
- Embroidery and branding of SDM logo and emblems on work suits, lab coats, and other items
- On-site measurement of employees at all SDM workplaces to ensure correct sizing
- Submission of samples for quality assurance at the Bareki Mall office
Mandatory Compliance and Measurement
The successful bidder must visit all municipal workplaces to take precise size measurements for employees. Furthermore, all items must strictly comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, ensuring maximum protection for staff handling water reticulation, disaster management, and municipal health services.
