The Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) has issued an open national tender (WRSCM-2026/2027-0017) for the supply of marketing, promotional, and branding materials. This procurement initiative supports the authority’s mandate to enhance its corporate identity and stakeholder engagement across South Africa.

Scope of Supply and Branding Requirements

The appointed service provider will manufacture and deliver a comprehensive range of high-quality branded merchandise. These items are critical for W&RSETA’s national campaigns, sector events, and skills development awareness programmes, ensuring consistent and professional corporate visibility.

Mandatory Local Content and Production

A critical condition of this tender is the strict adherence to local content requirements. Bidders must complete the designated Local Content Declaration and annexures, ensuring that the supplied promotional materials are manufactured within South Africa to support domestic industrialization and job creation.

Mandatory Documents for Submission

Bidders must submit one hardcopy of the Compliance and Technical Proposal with the following documents:

  • SBD 1 (Invitation to Bid) – completed and signed
  • SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) – completed and signed
  • SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim Form) – completed and signed
  • CSD Registration Summary Report (not older than 1 month)
  • Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD Master Registration Number (MAAA)
  • Valid B-BBEE Certificate or Sworn Affidavit (for specific goals points)
  • Pricing Schedule in South African currency, VAT inclusive
  • Company Profile demonstrating at least 5 years’ experience in supplying branding and promotional items
  • Signed Reference Letters from at least five clients (on company letterhead)

Prospective bidders must submit all technical and administrative queries in writing well before the closing date. The strict cut-off for all bidding enquiries is 16 July 2026 at 17:00. No verbal enquiries will be entertained.

Hard Copy Submission Guidelines

Unlike many modern digital procurements, W&RSETA mandates that all bids must be submitted in hard copy only. Sealed envelopes must be clearly marked and deposited in the official tender box.
