The City of Cape Town has issued an open tender (278G/2025/26) for a 36-month term contract to supply, install, repair, and maintain signage across all parks, open spaces, and facilities owned or leased by the Community Services and Health directorate. This strategic procurement aims to enhance public navigation and safety within municipal recreational and health precincts.
Scope of Works and Facilities
The appointed service provider will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of municipal signage. Key responsibilities include:
- Manufacturing, supplying, and delivering free-standing, wall-mounted, and bollard signs.
- Removing and responsibly disposing of existing signage, including recycling steel components.
- Performing ongoing repairs and maintenance across designated parks and health facilities.

Functionality Schedules (F.13):

Supporting Certificates and Proof:
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN
- CCT Supplier Database Registration Number
- National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration number
- Company registration certificates (CK/CoR documents)
- Joint Venture Agreement (if bidding as a Joint Venture or Consortium)
- Audited financial statements for the past 3 years (if applicable by law)
- Valid BBBEE certificate (for preference points claims)
- Acceptable samples of signage (as per specifications)
- Completed Insurance Broker’s Warranty (Annexure A)
- Compensation Commissioner Letter of Good Standing (for COIDA compliance)
Evaluation and Compliance Criteria
Bids will be strictly evaluated in accordance with the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022. The adjudication process will assess functionality, price competitiveness, and specific preference goals. Bidders must ensure full compliance with all statutory and eligibility criteria outlined in the tender document to avoid disqualification.

A clarification meeting will be held to assist prospective bidders with technical and procedural queries.
