The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development has issued a Request for Quotation (ER 12502 & ER UM 300104) for the supply and delivery of 34 laptops to support its operations in the Uthukela District. This procurement initiative aims to enhance digital service delivery and equip social workers with the necessary technological tools to serve communities effectively.
Scope of Supply and Delivery
The appointed service provider will supply 34 laptops and deliver them directly to the departmental offices in Pieters-Lady Smith. Deliveries must be made to 108 Rolihihlahlwa Drive, specifically targeting Level 7 and Below. Bidders must ensure timely and secure off-loading of the IT equipment.
Mandatory SITA Transversal Compliance
A critical prerequisite for this tender is that bidders must be approved service providers listed under the SITA Transversal Contract No. RFB740. Furthermore, service providers must be formally accredited to render the required IT services within the KwaZulu-Natal Province. Non-compliance with this mandatory requirement will result in immediate disqualification.

- A valid copy of Compliance Status PIN issued by SARS
- BBBEE Certificate
- SBD 4 (Bidder Disclosure)
- SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim Form)
- CSD registration number and printout
- Valid CIPC Registration Certificate
- Supporting documents for departmental specific goals
