Kumkani Mhlontlo Local Municipality invites Microsoft-authorized licensing partners to submit bids for the renewal of Microsoft 365 licenses. This strategic three-year contract ensures uninterrupted access to enterprise productivity, collaboration platforms, and advanced security features for the municipality’s digital infrastructure in the Eastern Cape.
Scope of Renewal and Licensing
The successful bidder will renew the existing Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA) for 160 users, encompassing Microsoft 365 E3 licenses. The scope also includes the provision of ten (10) add-on licenses for Microsoft Copilot, alongside Microsoft Entra ID capabilities, enterprise mobility, and device management features.
Mandatory Partner Requirements
Prospective service providers must be officially recognized Microsoft-authorized licensing partners or resellers. The appointed partner will facilitate all contractual arrangements directly with Microsoft under the applicable government licensing framework, ensuring full software license compliance and providing comprehensive subscription confirmations.
Evaluation and Functionality
Bids will undergo a strict two-stage evaluation process. Proposals must include a comprehensive project plan with timelines, milestones, and a risk management strategy. Only bidders who achieve a minimum functionality threshold of 70% in Stage 1 will be evaluated further on price.
