Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under reference number RFQ-08-02-2026 for the supply and installation of interior design items at the Main Lodge of Ntshodwe Resort, located within the iThala Game Reserve near Louwsburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The project includes furnishing guest bedrooms, living areas, and dining spaces with high-quality, durable, and aesthetically cohesive décor aligned with the lodge’s eco-tourism identity. Submissions must be emailed by 11:00 on Thursday, 5 March 2026, to procurement@kznwildlife.com.

A compulsory site briefing and inspection will be held at Ntshodwe Resort Main Lodge—attendance is mandatory for all bidders.

Project Overview: Enhancing Guest Experience Through Thoughtful Design

The Main Lodge at Ntshodwe Resort serves as a key hospitality hub within one of KZN’s premier conservation destinations. This RFQ aims to refresh and upgrade interior spaces to improve guest comfort, reflect local cultural aesthetics, and support sustainable tourism. The selected supplier will deliver turnkey interior solutions that balance durability, style, and environmental sensitivity.

Scope of Work: Comprehensive Interior Furnishing and Installation

The successful service provider will supply and install:

  • Custom curtains, voiles, and back rails for guest bedrooms and living areas
  • New dining tables and chairs, including reupholstery of existing seating
  • Bedding, soft furnishings, and decorative accessories per approved mood board
  • All items must be new, unused, and compliant with fire safety and hospitality standards

Installation must be completed on-site by the appointed contractor, with minimal disruption to lodge operations.

Mandatory Requirements and Documentation

To be considered, quotations must include:

  • A formal quote on company letterhead with firm, VAT-inclusive pricing per item
  • Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN or clearance certificate
  • Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
  • B-BBEE Certificate or sworn affidavit (Level 1–8 or EME/QSE)
  • Completed Standard Bidding Documents: SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim)
  • CV and qualifications of the lead project manager (minimum NQF Level 4 in interior décor or equivalent)
  • Proof of attendance at the compulsory site briefing

Quotations must be submitted exclusively via email in PDF format—no hard copies, faxes, or multi-email submissions will be accepted.

Evaluation Criteria: Functionality and 80/20 Preference System

Quotations will be assessed in three stages:

  1. Administrative Compliance Check – verification of CSD, tax status, and briefing attendance
  2. Functionality Assessment – based on design quality, material suitability, past performance, and project management capacity
  3. 80/20 Preferential Procurement Scoring:
    • 80 points: Price (lowest compliant = 80; others scored proportionally)
    • 20 points: Specific Goals, including Black, women, youth, disability ownership, and locality within Zululand District Municipality

Only responsive, compliant, and qualified bidders will be considered.
