The National Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under reference number 5/2/1/1/2025-2026/223 for the appointment of a service provider to supply and deliver Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to its offices in Pretoria. The procurement supports occupational health and safety compliance across departmental operations. Submissions must be hand-delivered by 11:00 on Thursday, 19 February 2026, to the Department’s offices in Pretoria.
This is a time-sensitive opportunity with a narrow response window—suppliers are urged to act promptly and ensure full compliance.
Scope of Supply: Comprehensive PPE for Government Operations
The successful service provider will supply a range of certified PPE items, including:
- Head protection (hard hats, bump caps)
- Eye and face protection (safety goggles, face shields)
- Hearing protection (earmuffs, earplugs)
- Respiratory protection (N95 masks, respirators)
- Hand protection (cut-resistant, chemical-resistant, and general-purpose gloves)
- Foot protection (steel-toe boots, safety shoes)
- High-visibility clothing and protective overalls
All items must be new, unused, SABS-compliant, and accompanied by valid certificates of compliance.
Mandatory Submission Requirements
To be considered, quotations must include:
- A formal quote on company letterhead with firm, VAT-inclusive pricing
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN or clearance certificate
- Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- B-BBEE Certificate or sworn affidavit (Level 1–8 or EME/QSE)
- Completed Standard Bidding Documents: SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim)
- Company registration documents (CK1) and certified ID copy of the signatory
Quotations must be submitted exclusively via hand delivery—no emails, faxes, or postal submissions will be accepted.
Evaluation Criteria: 80/20 Preferential Procurement System
Quotations will be scored using the 80/20 system:
- 80 points: Price (lowest compliant quote = 80; others scored proportionally)
- 20 points: Specific Goals, including Black, women, youth, disability, and military veteran ownership
Only complete, responsive, and compliant submissions will be evaluated.
