Product Specifications
According to the RFQ documents, the lapel pins must meet the following requirements:
- Size & Shape: 25mm circular pressed metal pins
- Finish & Colour: Deep gold with smooth polished finishing
- Design:
- 90 pins with full-colour G20 logo
- 70 pins with gold G20 logo
- Wording “LEADERS’ SUMMIT” engraved in a circular pattern
- Unique number engraved under each pin
- Magnetism: Strong magnetic backing to clip onto heavy coats
- Packaging: Each pin must be presented in a leather container bearing the design on the opening lid (as per figure in RFQ)
- Samples: Three samples must be submitted for approval before production
Special Conditions
Bidders must comply with the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), 2000, and the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022. This RFQ will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system, with 80 points for price and 20 points for B-BBEE status level contribution.
Additional requirements include:
- Valid tax compliance status (SARS PIN or CSD registration number)
- B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit for preference points
- Certificate of good standing with the Compensation Fund (where applicable)
- Health and safety file submission (where applicable)
- Bids quoting on fewer items than specified will be disqualified
